who is hungry?

Is it really realistic that a slow-burning pyre could transform a human corpse into a perfectly cooked dish? Not according to the chefs IRL. But you don’t have to be realistic to do something shocking, and that’s exactly the point of the story. Yellow jackets Season 2, episode 2 is. It’s partly due to the horrific inevitability of the moment – the threat of cannibalism has loomed over the series since its premiere – but mostly it’s the visual of the girls succumbing to their desperate hunger and huddling hungrily against the charred body of their deceased teammate. Definitely not one to watch with dinner. — Sam Haysom, UK Deputy Editor

2. The idolthis ridiculous ending
No.
Credit: Eddy Chen/HBO
From cult shock collars has confusing actor choices, The idol had no shortage of WTF moments. But it is the The series finale this delivered the most ridiculous moment of all.
After spending the entire season watching pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) struggle under the thumb of manipulative club owner Tedros Tedros (Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye), The idol reveals that — twist! — Jocelyn was in control all the time. It is a narrative turning point which that does not make any sense in the context of the rest of the season, undermining the few exciting things The idol had to say about fame in the first place. Additionally, it makes the disturbing (and frankly harmful) claim that Tedros was the real victim of the show. Like the rest of The idol, this ending seeks to provoke and excite, only to fall agonizingly flat. — Belen Edwards, entertainment journalist

1. Scott Pilgrim takes offwhen Scott really, really takes off
Wait, Scott wins this, right? FAKE.

To make this list for a moment, it has to be of the caliber that could make you scream at the screen. And beyond that essential introduction, the opening episode of the animated series Scott Pilgrim takes off blew us away with a narrative bomb: Scott Pilgrim dies?!?! It was the twist that fans didn’t see coming.
At the end of Episode 1 of Netflix’s adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel series, the eponymous protagonist (voiced by Michael Cera) faces Matthew Patel (Satya Bhabha), the first “ex “Maleficent” of the love of Scott’s life. , Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Of course, they have to fight, but unlike the comics or the 2010 movie, Scott is not victorious. Instead, it literally evaporates into spare change. He dies!!! What!??
Mashable Film editor Kristy Puchko asked O’Malley and series co-creator BenDavid Grabinski about it – you should read the whole interview – and some of the decisions came down to exploring other characters’ narratives. “We were both talking about how it would be great if we could find a way to tell the story a little more from Ramona’s point of view – and if we could spend more time with the exes.” Grabinski said. “Because if the story is about Scott fighting the exes, that’s always going to take up a lot of plot. And the exes die, so they can’t interact with each other.”
We understand, but still, WTF?! — Shannon Connellan, UK editor
