Netflix released its year-end report on the state of its games divisionwhich included not only statistics on games released in 2023, but also a look at new titles coming in 2024. According to the report, Netflix launched 40 games on its platform in 2023, including two in-house developed titles: Oxenfree II: Lost. Netflix Signals and Stories: Love is Blind.
The company also revealed more information about games coming in 2024 – in particular, it revealed a few new titles that have joined the upcoming list. These games are an AI-enhanced fashion simulation, FashionVerse, which allows players to dress photo-realistic models and create their own fashion brand; a new version of Game Dev Tycoon with Netflix-exclusive functionality for developing games based on your favorite movies and shows; and Sonic Mania Plus exclusively on mobile.
The last game on the list is Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, a sequel to Cozy Grove made by Spry Fox, which Netflix acquired last year. Camp Spirit features new ghost stories, new activities, and new companions. Netflix does not specify whether Camp Spirit will be exclusive to its platform. All of the games mentioned above will be released sometime in 2024 and will join other titles such as Hades, Braid, Katana Zero and Monument Valley 1 & 2.
According to Netflix, it plans to continue adding games to its platform with the goal of having something for everyone to play. In total, the company reports having 86 games on the platform, with nearly 90 in development (it’s unclear whether those 90 include existing titles that are coming to Netflix). The company first rolled out games to its platform in 2021.
