New Year’s Eve is going to be an international event this year!
ABC announced some additions to the artist lineup for the upcoming Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024 show, which will take place on December 31 and continue until the new year. Long time host Ryan Seacrest returns alongside three co-hosts.
Seacrest will be in Times Square in New York with the singer Rita Ora. The show will also air from Hollywood, California with television personality Jeannie May accommodation. And anchor Dayanara Torres returns as co-host from Puerto Rico.
Additionally, a new lineup of hit artists is expected to entertain audiences through 2024. On Wednesday, two massive additions were announced.
GRAMMY-winning rapper Cardi B is set to take the stage for a special performance from Miami. And LL Cool J will rock the stage from Times Square.
The latest ad also included comedy segments from Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Matt Friend, Mrs. Pat and Sebastian Maniscalco. We will also attempt to add a record to the Guinness World Records.
The network previously announced that K-pop group NewJeans would perform live from South Korea and that singer Post Malone would take the stage in Las Vegas at the Fontainebleau Hotel. Meanwhile, Ivy Queen will perform from Puerto Rico.
Doechii, Ellie Goulding, Green Day, Janelle Monáe, Loud Luxury x Two Friends with Bebe Rexha, Ludacris, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Paul Russell, Reneé Rapp with Coco Jones and Thirty Seconds to Mars will all perform on New Year’s Eve.
After the success of Greta Gerwig’s hit barbie film, ’90s band Aqua sings their 1997 classic, “Barbie Girl,” as well as their song “Doctor Jones.”
While some artists like Reneé Rapp and Bebe Rexha will perform new music, others, like veterans Green Day, will revisit their impressive catalogs.
The pop punk band, led by Billie Joe Armstrong, will perform on a medley of their hits, including “Basketcase,” “Welcome to Paradise,” “American Idiot,” “Holiday” and more.
The show airs Sunday, December 31 starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and continues until the midnight countdown from Times Square, where the ball will drop.
The annual event features a host of top-notch performances and appearances over the course of five and a half hours on air.
Legendary TV host Dick Clark died in 2012 at the age of 82, but the New Year’s Eve show continues to honor his legacy.
