For busy working women, a suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature does not apply interview suits for womenwhich should be as classic and basic as possible. Instead, this feature is about the slightly different, fashionable, yet professional suit. Also: we just updated our big overview for the best suits for women of 2023!
I really like this purple-brown color – it actually reminds me of the heels that I loved so much we had a million roundups of purple heels. (It’s really hard to find one that isn’t completely burgundy and isn’t a boring, bright purple!)
I especially think it’s an amazing color both as a pantsuit and as a separate piece because you can wear so much with it. Neutral tones are an obvious and easy choice (black, gray, navy, beige), but I think you can also go for a bright red, orange, or pink (or a combination thereof), and at pretty much any shade of blue (pale blue, dark). blue, duck blue, cobalt, and more…). (I would avoid yellows and greens but that’s my $0.02!)
Costume pieces cost between $160 and $330 at Nordstrom And Reiss — I like that they have two different pant options.
Looking for something similar? On the more affordable side, This Reader-Favorite Costume Under $75 is similar in color, and Express offers a number of pairing options in a nice “wine”. For larger sizes, Universal Standard offers a number of blazers and pants in “black cherry,” including this blazer.
