When most people purchase a new Cricut machine, they may think they have everything they need to immediately start creating their next masterpiece. Although Cricuts are fantastic creation machines, they can’t do the job alone. Many types of Cricut accessories are available to help make your creation more effective. I put together this handy list of all the great little tools I use every day with my Cricut to make my creations easier.
What is the best Cricut accessory?
Although there is no ideal product to help you with the Cricut, the Cricut Basic Tool Set is the best place to start building your accessories collection. You’ll use each tool every time you complete a project, so it’s well worth the price.
If you’re looking for the right things to add to your craft table, these Cricut accessories are my recommended place to start. We’ve even included more advanced accessories for when you’re more advanced.

Starter tool kits are plentiful for Cricut users, and Cricut has some of the best on price. A weeding pick helps you lift items you’ve already cut, a spatula helps remove larger projects from the mat without tearing them, tweezers make cleaning and precise placement easy, and scissors help you reach easily the right part of the cut. When the correct part is removed from the cutter, you can use the scraper to clean your cutting mat or apply the object you cut more easily.
More tools are available for advanced users, but this kit has everything you need to get started and offers what every Cricut user should have to get started.

Cricut makes extra large rolls of transfer sheets to help you get the vinyl from the adhesive sheet to where you want to place your design, but that doesn’t mean it’s always the best tool for the job. Whether for convenience, price, or simply the right amount of adhesive, if I’m working on multiple projects at once, I prefer to use lint roller sheets. The handy little roller on a cute handle makes it easy to apply adhesive to the project and lift it from the paper, and the tearable nature of the lint roller sheet makes it very easy to separate from the roll and put back on. access, whatever the destination. your creation.
It couldn’t be simpler for small projects, and it’s much cheaper than using official transfer sheets most of the time.

I prefer a precision cut whenever I can get it, especially when it comes to salvaging something I cut on my Cricut from the rest of the sheet. I’m not very precise with a pair of scissors, so I always recommend a good clipper. The Weenkler trimmer is the right width for all vinyl sheets, and the extension allows you to cut larger pieces with the same level of precision.
It doesn’t get much easier as the tools go, and it makes all your scraps more uniform for the next project.

Your Cricut machine comes with the same StandardGrip mat that everyone has, but it’s not always the best mat for the job. Cricut actually makes three other types of mats for different materials and situations. The LightGrip mat is ideal for paper projects where you need to be more careful, while the StrongGrip mat is ideal for thicker vinyl and other stiffer materials. It even has a FabricGrip mat, just in case you need to cut fabric. It’s not always easy to find each of these products at your local craft store, so I recommend starting with one of each, just in case. This set of four straight from Cricut is the best way to do it.

Having a place for your small weeding leftovers is essential. I’ve ruined several projects by accidentally fusing a piece of Infusible Ink onto a t-shirt, so I find this little cup extremely useful. The top flaps prevent your waste from falling and remove it from the weeder hook.

One of the most common things that Cricut users tend to make if they decide to make things with clothing is a set of family T-shirts. Whether it’s a family vacation or someone’s great idea to stand out at a big outdoor event, creating an iron-on design for a T-shirt can be a quick process. Applying that pattern to a shirt to make it look perfect isn’t always that easy, especially if you’re applying a pattern to multiple shirt sizes. That’s why it’s a good idea to have an alignment ruler guide tool, to make sure you get the correct placement for each shirt size.
This four-pack of shirt guides will help you place graphics on almost any type of shirt without complications, and they can be used again and again.
Although this exact brand is temporarily sold out, you can find similar styles at Amazon.

The HTVRont cup press is the perfect accessory for preparing cold drinks. The heating area is large enough for a 24-ounce tumbler or a few standard coffee mugs so you can use your Cricut Infusible Ink designs to create homemade holiday gifts for everyone on your list.

It’s pretty common for Cricut users to cut a whole bunch of things at once, then spend an evening clearing them out so they have a nice pile of projects to work on. The one thing all Cricut projects have in common is that more light always makes things easier. When you’re at home, you have a lot of control over how much light you have to work with, and the BrightPad Go is a great way to help with light when you’re elsewhere. This rechargeable tablet lets you control the brightness of the backlight and is thin enough to take with you anywhere. It’s perfect for working on a project for a few hours when you’re not at home, so you can still continue to be creative.

The HTVront heat press is an automatic system that simplifies pressing vinyl onto materials. When using a handheld heat press, you may run into issues when you press too long or unevenly, causing your design to not turn out as good as you would like. The automatic press is consistent on the material every time so your prints look great.
