π©βπ³ How to Make 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge (Step-by-Step Instructions with Detailed Photos)
Step 1. Add peanut butter to condensed milk
Pour 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk into a large glass bowl which is microwave safe. Then add 1 cup of creamed peanut to the bowl with the condensed milk.
Step 2. Stir and microwave peanut butter mixture
With a spatula, mix the peanut butter with the condensed milk until you obtain a creamy texture. Then place the microwave-safe bowl in the microwave on high for 30 seconds. Remove the bowl from the microwave, then stir again and return it to the microwave for another 30 seconds.
Step 3. Add the chocolate chips
Remove the peanut butter mixture from the microwave and immediately add the chocolate chips and stir. The peanut butter mixture is hot enough to melt the chocolate chips. Do not put it back in the microwave.
Step 4. Mix the chocolate chips with the peanut butter mixture
Continue to stir the peanut butter and chocolate chip mixture until smooth and well combined. It will turn into soft, smooth, thick peanut butter fudge before your eyes. Set it aside for just a minute while we prepare the baking dish in the next step.
Step 5. Prepare the baking dish
Put a piece of parchment in a 8-inch baking dish, overlapping it on all sides of the dish. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly throughout the dish. The easiest way to do this is to press down on the fudge with your fingers or a spatula.
Advice: If you don’t have parchment paper, you can use wax paper or spray the baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 6. Cool in the refrigerator
Place the fudge in the refrigerator for about two hours to set properly. After that, take it out of the fridge and remove the parchment paper from the baking dish with the peanut butter fudge on it (or you can leave the fudge in the dish), then with a sharp knife, cut the fudge into 25 small squares. This fudge is very sweet and rich, so all it takes is a few small pieces to make you very happy. Appreciate!
βοΈ Recipe variations
- If you prefer a nutty flavor, add a little crushed walnut Or finely chopped pecans to the peanut butter mixture just before adding the chocolate chips, or you can sprinkle the nuts over the fudge right after spreading it in the baking dish. This will also give the fudge a nice crunch.
- Or, if you want crunchy peanut butteryou can use it in place of creamy peanut butter, but keep in mind that you will have peanuts in your fudge, which sounds fine to me.
- Add some white chocolate chips once the chocolate chips have melted and cooled a bit.
- If you prefer a rich dark chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semisweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips.
