Jeans are my favorite piece of wardrobe, and they’re still what I reach for the most (did you think it would be cardigans? Good guess, but no, it’s easy).
Finding good denim is somewhat of a never-ending search, you could say. Especially in recent times, where we’ve not only seen a big shift in what’s considered trendy (hence long jeggings), but the accessibility of different styles has reached an all-time high.

Last winter, I went looking for both undistressed denim And full length denim for big girlswhich I have to admit seemed a bit intimidating.
While the second search resulted in some good finds (a pair even while making the cut for this article) I think I was a little ahead of the curve, looking for silhouettes and lengths of jeans that were on the horizon, but not Again readily available from all the brands I like to buy.
The year ended with good news though, because as the months went by and I continued my Quest For Good Jeans, I ended up collecting some of the best jeans ever.
While there are more pairs I love than these on this list, I narrowed down my favorites from the past year by choosing the jeans I wore the most. There’s a little bit of everything, from wide legs to slim straight cuts, classic loose pairs and funky horseshoe styles (my wardrobe may have never been opened). so exciting?)!
WHY I LOVE THEM: This is a classic wide leg that takes on a casual touch with the cuffed hems, and it’s incredibly comfortable, even with all that fabric.

I was the most hesitant about Lady Jean d’Agolde before I fell in love with them, simply because I realized last year that I wasn’t looking for classic wide-legged silhouettes as much as others – and that’s exactly how I saw them when I I tried it for the first time.
Wide jeans seem dressy, almost polished, to me, and I’m rarely, if ever I seek to dress and polish myself. Although I would historically prefer a funky denim cut that tapers, or perhaps beats at the knee (or even the other way around – is slim and straight), the Dame jean made me take a second look.

I think what defines these wide jeans apart, probably somewhat obviously, from the pronounced cuff at the bottom of each leg. Personally, I think the cuffed look gives off a very casual vibe, which is refreshing for a classic wide-leg jean. Agolde is easily my favorite denim brand, and they always put a little twist on their styles to make them more bold and unique.
STYLE NOTES: I’ve worn this pair the most with loose sweaters or cropped tees, anything that makes them more casual, but they’re an easy choice whenever I also want a more polished, preppi look. I ended up sizing down to a 27 instead of my usual 28, and I usually do this with all Agolde denim.
WHY I LOVE THEM: These are the cheekiest jeans in my wardrobe, give a little confidence boost, and they Ironically feel like a new option in a fashion world that is so heavily focused on baggy and baggy. Shop all washes here!

I like to say we live in the Wild West of denim styles – every style we’ve ever known can be found in stores today and Nothing go. I would say my wardrobe accurately represents that, especially when I was craving tighter jeans this year and landed on 90s straight jeans from Gap.

Maybe it’s the rebellious spirit of the younger child in me, but the baggier and baggier jeans became, the more I tended to put on something tighter, if only to have the feeling like I’m walking at my own pace. drum.

STYLE NOTES: These jeans hug the butt and have a classic straight leg, so to keep my outfits fresh and modern, I avoid cropped, fitted tops. Instead, I look for something longer, oversized, and chunky knit (layering also works great). True to its name, these jeans have a vintage, very minimalist 90s feel.
WHY I LOVE THEM: This is by far the most unique denim silhouette I’ve ever seen, and I love wearing anything that feels like it’s pushing the boundaries of fashion rules and norms.

The easiest way to make a statement by wearing a simple outfit of jeans and a top? Choose a fun and funky denim silhouette.
Citizens of Humanity Horseshoe Jeans I made my outfits so much cooler without any additional effort. I’ve featured them in countless articles over the last year, pairing them with everything from J.Crew preppy sweaters lazy flannel shirt and Ugg slipper combosand it is still a resounding success.

These horseshoe jeans are comfortable and don’t feel heavy because of the extra material, as a few others I’ve tried this year certainly did. They work perfectly on my 5’9″ long legged frame. And there are a bunch of washes to choose from!
STYLE NOTES: My natural instinct would be to choose a fitted or cropped top to pair with these, but honestly, I loved anything and everything. Horseshoe and barrel leg jeans are already so unique that they make everything you pair them with look intentional and captivating.
Psst- for a cheaper version that I wore almost as much, Free People Lucky You Barrel Leg is an amazing alternative, with the main difference that it has a mid rise instead of a high rise. The shape and length are roughly identical, with the leg of both being similarly exaggerated (more exaggerated than most other cannon legs, such as Free People’s Moxie Barrel Legbut with a more fitted waist and buttocks which I like).
WHY I LOVE THEM: These are the jeans that I reach for without thinking, especially when I I do not want think about my outfit. They’re perfectly trendy without being complicated.

I feel like I’ve been looking for these jeans my whole life, my perfect loose jeans (and thanks to the great sales Abercrombie has throughout the year, I bought two pairs). It’s that super comfortable pair that you can throw on while running errands, cleaning the house, or just lounging around, but want to feel more comfortable than in stretchy pants.
Abercrombie High-Rise Loose Jeans has just the right amount of looseness factor in the butt and thighs while having a fitted waist that means they don’t fall lower as you go (the downside of most baggy jeans, in my opinion).

Even if Abercrombie High-Rise Loose Jeans are cut in a full length loose leg shape, when you wear them it almost looks like the leg is tapering down to your shoe. This combination of fitted waist and easy leg shape makes for a fresh style that feels like a modern, updated answer to “mom jeans” – a style I loved and wore. oh so much.
STYLE NOTES: These jeans have just the right amount of modern style without being difficult to wear, so they’re amazing to wear to dinner with a more elevated top and shoes. At the same time, I happened to put on an old sweatshirt and scrub my entire house while wearing them. If I’m wearing an oversized top, I like to wear a half pleat to break up the baggier look from head to toe.
WHY I LOVE THEM: The best fitting jeans for my straight figure I’ve ever found, and they never go out of style.

For the only pair of jeans on this list that is not it enough full length (they recently launched a longer inseam of 32″ but stock is low as I write this) I present to you an oldie but a goody.
I did not do it In fact discover Agolde 90s Nipped-Rise Jeans this year, but I definitely wore them more than ever, so I felt they deserved this spot.

d’Agolde classic 90s Loose Fit Jeans (recently renamed “90’s Mid Rise Jean”) is another pair from the brand that has been on my most worn list for a long time, a lot years, and this 90s Pinch Waist was actually inspired by this pair, with just a few glorious tweaks.
The difference between Jean Agolde 90s And Agolde 90s pinch waist It’s exactly what one would assume: the cut around the waist. The Pinch Waist style hugs everything closer, from the waist and butt to the hips and thighs, these jeans have a fantastic, sexy fit while still being super comfortable. They also have a higher waistline, lifting and contouring every area. It is totally true without being restrictive.

These are such a must-have product for me that I own them in multiple washes and always size down. Agolde tends to run large and, due to its 100% cotton composition, relaxes with wear.
STYLE NOTES: These are by far the most classic pair of denim I own, in the sense that they work with just about everything, with very little adjustment or styling needed to make them look good. I pair my ballet flats with them the most, and the boots tucked under the bottom hems are super cute too.
Which jeans have you worn the most this year?
